Lucky Number 13!!

We have about thirteen school days left in the semester. THIRTEEN. One more than twelve. One less than fourteen. One-three! 13!

If you are on the botany, ISM, CRE units, you should be finishing up parts three right now and moving to part four by the end of the week. You want to be finishing part four by no later than Monday. You really want to be finished with part five by the end of next week.

If you are on the Bird Ecosystem, you should be finishing at least part six by the end of the week.

If you are not quite to those, it’s not panic time, but you MUST be doing and submitting the work at least daily. And some of you who are just starting, you almost have to dedicate your school hours to making sure you are getting, completing, and submitted the work.

Please understand, I am dealing with almost 100 students doing work online. I have to open the emails, read, grade, make corrections, and correspond back the each of them. That takes time. Lots of time each day.

As more students are doing work, I am able to respond to less student’s emails everyday. I will get through every student who emails me at least ONCE per day. In other words, if you email me, I will make sure that I respond to at least your first email that day. If you send corrected work again in the same day, I might not get to it that day.

Why am I telling you this? Because more and more, I am getting work that does not answer the questions or that is incomplete. If I can only reach out to most students once per day and you have to repeat work, it will take you longer to complete the sections and the unit.

Don’t rush. Read the assignment, read the questions (the whole question), write your answer in the form in a way that shows me that you read the articles or did the work. You’re not trying to save time. You are trying to save work. Do it right. Do it once.

Remember, each unit is a “all-or-none” unit. You get credit and your grade goes up ONLY if you complete ALL sections of the subject you are doing. Also remember, your grade can NOT go down.

I hope this helps you make good decisions.

Be smart. Stay safe.
